I remember the pictures we had of our Dog when She was a Puppy. She used to chase Cats, but they would scrab her and She would run away. When She tried to attack other creatures She would emulate the Cats rather than attack like a Dog.

But She was always fond of Mum and my Brother. He would play with the Dog non-stop yet She wouldn't touch Him. Yet when I tired to pat her She showed a Vicious Face and bite me.

I wish I could've been a natural with Animals, like You and my Mum. I was pretty Misanthropic as a Child. Only now am I coming out of my Shell.

Oh Georgie, too, too, too cute - would love to cuddle one! A new pup next door to you - ohhh, can you take a photo and send it. I've never seen a cavalier puppy.

Yes, you're right Des. Addiction and human frailty is no barrier to success.
How long that success lasts in the case of active addiction is another matter.

Georgie,

It proves that success is no barrier towards addiction and Human frailty. I made a consensus decision at the age of 16 not to drink. Considering the things I have done as a Food addict; and how many of my OA mates are also in AA; I made the right choice.

I am now taking charge of my life. When I met a Man I enquired about a Job vacancy Yesterday he said that once a member of his current staff quits "I'm in!".

The Web Design role I had hoped for has now bitten the dust. Inspite of my Qualifications in IT my knowledge of current Technology is rusty to say the least; I had relied heavily on Google for newly acquired knowledge; and my Old knowledge hasn't been used for almost 9 Years now.

Also, I volunteered to help out in a Charity do at Draperstown Rural College this Sunday. It's from 1PM to 6PM. I'll probably ask to be excused at 5:30 to head to the Armagh OA Meeting; which is over an Hour's Drive away. I'm looking forward to it.

Long may this continue.

Very interesting Georgie, thank you for this article. I sent it to a friend in Ireland who is struggling with her husband who is an alcoholic, but she can't leave the person she loves the most.

Nice Pictures Georgie.

I've only been to a Zoo once in my life; Belfast Zoo back when I was about 8 or 9. All I really rember were the Flamengos and being scolded by my Mum about eating other's leftovers; part of the insanity of my Disease.
